Our research assistant Aslınur Çolak’s paper titled “Deep reinforcement learning based resource allocation for electric vehicle charging stations with priority service”, derived from her master's thesis, has been published in Energy, a journal by Elsevier.
In this study, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based approach was developed to optimize resource allocation at electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. By incorporating a model with priority service mechanisms, the study aims to both improve user satisfaction and maximize charging station efficiency. Utilizing the Deep Q-learning algorithm, the proposed method demonstrates how charging station efficiency can be enhanced and waiting times reduced by adapting to dynamic environmental conditions.
