Our Industrial Engineering Department Faculty Member Dr. Vedat Bayram's project titled “Evacuation Planning and Management for Istanbul City Marmara Sea Shores against Tsunami Threat” was found eligible to receive support for 36 months under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB-1001 “Earthquake Research Special Call”.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Panamerican University (located in Guadalajara, Mexico) and TED University with the initiatives of our department and support of the International Programs Office. The MoU serves as the first step of future agreements that will help our students and faculty members to spend an exchange semester at Universidad Panamericana, founding common graduate programs, planning common research studies, seminars, conferences and summer schools.

TED University Department of Industrial Engineering Senior Design Project (University – Industry Collaboration) Fair took place on June the 7^th, 2018 with around 200 attendees. In the Project Fair, the project studies that were conducted by our senior students with the prominent firms of our country were exibited. The projects aimed to develop efficient solution methodologies for the complex problems of the firms in manufacturing and service sectors. There were a total of 10 projects conducted with 6 firms.

Nine of our senior students participated in a competition entitled “Bugün Günlerden Yarın," organized by Doğuş Holding. The two TEDU groups participating in the competition were as follows; Group A:  Aydın Yılmaz, Elif Can Gönenç,  Şebnem Arslan, Şerife Gizem Bacı; and Group B: Ferda Güven, Melissa Müslim, Melodi Cebesoy, Mertcan Yılmaz and Uğur Barkın Karagür. Both groups were found eligible to compete in the finals based on their decisions along six rounds about the management of fictitious companies through the website named Capsi.

TEDU IE faculty members will attend the YAEM 2015 conference to be held at Middle East Technical University between September 9-11, 2015 to present the following papers.
