Industrial Engineering Senior Project Fair

TED University Department of Industrial Engineering Senior Design Project (University – Industry Collaboration) Fair took place on May the 29th, 2019 with around 100 attendees. In the Project Fair, the project studies that were conducted by our senior students with the prominent firms of our country were exibited. The projects aimed to develop efficient solution methodologies for the complex problems of the firms in manufacturing and service sectors. There were a total of 8 projects conducted with 7 firms.

This lecture will explore the manufacture of some of the high value products (jet engines, airframes, biomedical implants and tooling) that our society is dependent upon. The demand for these is set to rise across the world and in order to meet this demand we must develop more efficient and more effective methods of manufacture.

Robust mechanisms for bilateral trade under discrete types

Abstract: In general, mechanism design is about investigating the necessary and sufficient conditions to achieve desired social, environmental or economic outcomes under many assumptions such as individuals’ self-interest and incomplete information. One of the well-known problem in the mechanism design literature is “Bilateral Trading problem”. Bilateral trade problem is the most common market interaction in which a seller and a buyer bargain over an indivisible object, and the valuation of each agent about the object is private information.
